Shipwrecks & Safe Havens is an initiative of the King Island Regional Developent Organisation. Its twelve sites extend all around the Island, giving visitors a focus for their explorations.
This project was supported by funding from the Commonwealth Government under its Regional Assistance Programme, administered by the Department of Transport and Regional Services.
KIRDO would also like to thank the following organisations for their assistance: the Department of Tourism, Arts and the Environment and the King Island Council.
Research for the interpretation at each site was undertaken by marine archaeologist Michael Nash, with text and brochure design by Julie Hawkins.
